Great British Beef Week

Get ready for the Great British Beef Week!  This annual event usually takes place around the 23rd of April – which just also happens to be St George’s Day.

What could be more British and a Sunday joint of roast beef with all the trimmings?  It could be argued that the humble sandwich is just as quintessentially British, and on a Monday morning if you were to tuck tasty morsels of beef left over from the Sunday Roast, between two slabs of crusty bread, that would be a reasonable contender for the title!

The key focus of the GBBW campaign this year, is how to get more from your meat by celebrating the humble sandwich – and in doing so, the campaign also hopes to raise awareness of the quality and versatility of assured British beef and give the industry a much-needed boost.

Organised by Ladies in Beef, Great British Beef Week puts the spotlight firmly on the fantastic food that British beef farmers produce. In addition, it raises vital funds for those in need in the farming industry by partnering with the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (R.A.B.I.).  www.rabi.org.uk
